TVC E. Popular reality TV show, ‘X Factor’ is said to have been thrown into crisis by new fix claims, following allegations of ‘singing duo The Brooks’ as they were awarded a place at Judges’ Houses allegedly due to their connection to Sinitta.
The talent hunt show is due to return to screens later this year, but singing duo The Brooks have already been revealed to have reached the Judges’ Houses stage of the competition.
Brothers Josh and Kyle Brooks’ success in the series was revealed last week by the Daily Mirror, with the newspaper claiming the boys had reached Judges’ Houses due to their connection to Simon Cowell’s close friend and confidante Sinitta.
Now the newspaper claims the rumours surrounding the show have started to put off other acts who would otherwise have auditioned for the programme.
“This absolutely stinks,” an insider told reporters. “Some acts have said ‘why bother auditioning when it’s clearly a fix?”
Apparently their success led to the siblings “developing major attitude problems” throughout the audition process.
“The Brooks were walking around muttering to other acts, asking if they’d had ‘the talk’ with the execs too – almost as if to see who else may be being looked after by the show in the same way,” a source told reporters.
“How a band clearly linked to Sinitta can behave so arrogantly, knowing that their fate is already guaranteed, is a massive kick in the face to all the other acts.”
A spokesperson for The X Factor denied the allegations, telling the Mirror Online: “The Brooks have received no special treatment and have not been guaranteed a place in the competition.
“Neither have there been any problems raised about their attitude. All acts are auditioned on the merit of their performances and nothing else.”
