A member of the board of trustees of the PDP and the leader of the party in Lagos state chief Olabode George, today formally declared his intention to vie for the national chairmanship position at the august 17th convention of the party.
This is coming on the heels of the leadership crisis rocking the opposition party as a federal high court last week recognised senator Ali Modu Sheriff as the national chairman of the party and cancelled the forth coming convention organised by the Makarfi led committee.
Olabode George was the former deputy national chairman of the party and controls majority of the members of the lagos chapter of the party.
Speaking as he was received by a marmot crowd at the Lagos secretariat of the party, chief Olabode George promised to restore the old glory of the embattled party and reposition it to win the 2019 election.
