A pastor identified as Timothy Ngwu, has been arraigned before the Enugu North Magistrates’ Court for allegedly involved in multiple marriages.
According to reports, Ngwu, who was arraigned on Monday, August 29, 2016, allegedly married a mother and her child, despite already being in one marriage.
It was gathered that the women concerned are members of his church, Gods’ Favor Ministry, Nsukka.
Calista Omeye, who is one of the victims of the unlawful marriage narrated her experience while speaking at the court.
According to her, she received the consent of her husband before giving out her daughter to the pastor.
“It is not true that I gave out our daughter in marriage to the pastor without the consent from my husband, he was aware of everything”, she said.
