Captain of Nigeria’s Under-20 team Kelechi Nwakali has arrived London for a routine medical with Arsenal, before putting pen to paper on a five year deal with the Gunners.
Arsenal fought off competition from a host of clubs interested in the midfielder, after his super showing for Nigeria at the last FIFA U-17 World cup.
The 18-year-old will now officially sign a professional deal with the Gunners on Tuesday with Arsenal expected to apply for a work permit for him in the coming days.
Nwakali will spend the first few months of his stay with the youth side of Arsenal.
