American basket ball legend Kobe Bryant has been honoured with his own day : ‘Kobe Bryant day’ & presented with a plaque by the Mayor of Los Angeles Eric Garcetti.Bryant spent his whole playing career at Los Angeles Lakers before retiring in April 2016.
The date, 24/08 was a combination of the two jersey numbers he wore during his career with the Los Angeles Lakers.
After he was presented with a plaque to mark the day, he was wished a happy birthday by a swarm of politicians as he turned 38 on Monday.
