Mayowa Ahmed whose illness prompted the #SaveMayowa campaign is dead.
She died on Sunday August 21st in a hospital in South Africa after battling Ovarian cancer for a while.
She was flown to South Africa on August 11th for treatment after kind-hearted Nigerians donated over N100 million for her treatment.
Gossip blogger Linda Ikeji had reported that her illness was a scam after a misunderstanding between Mayowa’s family and the organisers of the #SaveMayowa campaign.
Upon investigation, the police however, ruled out any foul play and disclosed that there was indeed some level of miscommunication between both parties.
