TVC E. The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ondo State has distanced itself from businessman, Jimoh Ibrahim who it says is not a member of the party.
The Ondo PDP made the announcement following Ibrahim’s expression of interest in the governorship of the state on the party’s platform.
Ibrahim collected the form on Thursday, August 4, 2016, from the Ali Modu Sheriff faction of the party.

“I can confirm to you that Jimoh Ibrahim is not a member of our party, the PDP. He has since been rid of his membership and we all know that he is a bona fide member of the Accord Party.” The Ondo PDP said via a statement released by Director of Media and Publicity, Ayo Fadaka.
“So, for him now to make a somersault and pick a governorship form of the PDP is a shameless thing anybody can do in this situation,” Fadaka added.
Meanwhile, Ibrahim has promised to pay off all debts owed by the state government within his first 100 days in office if elected.
The businessman was recently involved in a legal tussle with the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON) over a N50 billion debt and was also, on January 18, embarrassed on live television by some of his staff for failing to pay salaries.
