Celine Dion is one of the biggest names in music – and it seems her star power has extended all the way to Libreville, Gabon, on the west coast of Africa. Samuel, an incredibly talented 17-year-old, is a big fan of the singer, and has wowed the internet with his spot-on rendition of her power ballad The Power of Love.
The video has gone thanks to popular Gabonese blogger Barack Nyare Mba, who was sent the video by a friend, and thought the world deserved to hear it. And he was right – the clip has now been viewed more than three million times on Facebook.

Samuel’s staircase performance – which is sang a cappella, mostly in French and partly in English – is enough in itself to warrant the public’s attention, but Celine really upped the ante recently when she shared the video on her own Facebook page for all of her 23,405,683 followers to see, adding a sweet, personal message for Samuel.
“Samuel, your talent is as big as your voice. I’m touched my songs have travelled all the way to you and hope we have the chance to meet one day,” Celine wrote, sharing the message in both English and French.
“May all your dreams come true. Keep singing like you do. When music comes from the heart, it knows no borders! Celine xxx.”
