TVC E. The problems associated with budget management and implementation in Nigeria can only be averted with the conscientious tracking of the budget by relevant agencies and stakeholders.
The chairman, Coalition Against Corrupt Leaders, Debo Adeniran , said this while delivering a lecture on the theme: “Corruption War and Change Agenda in a Democracy: The Way forward”, organised by the Yoruba council of Youths Worldwide in commemoration of this year’s world youth Day.
He stressed that the bane of the Nigeria budget over the years stems from the fact that it doesn’t represent the real needs of the people.
Adeniran said that the budgeting padding saga is a fall out of the insensitive posture of Nigerians to the management and implementation of budgets.
He declared that the controversies of padding the budget makes the presidency and the legislators across board culpable of overseeing the passage of an alleged fraudulent budgets
The president of the Yoruba Council of Youths Worldwide, Oladotun Hassan said Nigerians must say the truth at all times and law must count if government is really ready to fight corruption.
