The Enugu State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has hailed Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi for “wiping tears from the faces of the people”.
The party’s State Chairman Augustine Nnamani spoke at Ikem and Nkwo Nike during the inauguration of newly elected PDP executives in Isi-Uzo and Enugu East local government areas.
The chairman said the governor’s developmental strides and peace initiatives had made it easy for the party to reposition.
Nnamani said Ugwuanyi had kept his campaign promises through massive road construction with drainages, new classroom blocks for public schools and other infrastructure, especially in the rural areas.
He said: “In Enugu, we don’t have a need for another party because the governor has put smiles on the faces of the people. We believe in what we see. Nobody will bring propaganda here because the government is doing well.”
