The Performing Musicians Employers’ Association of Nigeria (PMAN )has raised alarm about the alleged plans of the Nigerian labourminister, Chris Ngige, to appoint rival executives who have been accused of involvement in fraudulent activities.
In a recent press release, the association, led by Pretty Okafor, faulted Dr. Ngige’s proposed inauguration of a rival caretaker committee. Okafor’s group recently conducted the National Executive Council Meeting of the Union.
It says former PMAN executives, in their bid to evade justice in the fraudulent acquisition and sale of PMAN land in Abuja, a case still under investigation, appear to have found succor in the office of the Minister.
PRETTY Okafor says the association will not allow the collective interest of Nigerian Musicians to be undermined by fraud and corruption.
