The Nigerian Navy will sustain the bombardment going on in the Arepo area of Ogun state.
Flag Officer Commanding, Western Naval Command, Rear Admiral Fergusson Bobai said the directive for the operation came from the Chief of Defence Staff General Abayomi Olonishakin.
The operation is to destroy the hide-out of pipeline vandals scattered around the state.
The Navy is collaborating with Lagos and Ogun state governments since the operation was between both territories.
