Navy arrests suspected member of Niger Delta Avengers

There seems to be a break through in the fight against pipeline vandalism in the Niger Delta.

The Nigerian Navy says it has arrested a suspected member of the Niger Delta Avengers.

Director of Information, Commodore Christian Ezekobe said the suspect was picked up on July the 11th and is believed to be a major logistics supplier to the group.

He said the arrest was made after a confession obtained from an suspect arrested earlier,who gave details of the involvement of other collaborators in the attacks.

Investigations also revealed that the suspect recently supplied ten batteries, five large coils of wire and other materials used for the attacks.
