Justice Okon Abang of the Federal High Court in Abuja has made a U-Turn on his judgment ordering the removal of Abia State Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu on friday
The Judge said he now has jurisdiction to hear the application of stay of execution filed by the governor and that the governor should not have rushed to the Appeal Court when the lower court is not done with the case.
He said the decision to stay is based on the concession by Uche Ogah’s counsel.
Counsel to Ogah, Alex Iziyon conceded to Governor Ikpeazu’s application for a stay of proceedings.
Justice Abang said he will stay all proceedings on the matter pending the decision of the Appeal Court.
