The Returning Officer, Arinze Agbogu, said the APC’s Ben Uwajumogu, polled 49,000 ((48,921)) votes, and that PDP’s Athan Achonu scored 40,000 ((40,142)) votes..
Voting was cancelled in 15 polling units with a total of 13,000 registered voters.
