The Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun is charging state governments to explore available sources of revenue generation in their states to avoid over dependence on oil revenue in the country.
Speaking during the 2016 National Revenue Retreat in Kano State, Adeosun says President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration is overhauling avenues of revenue collection in the country.

They converged on Kano to discuss better ways of improving the Revenue base of the Country.
Adeosun said the meeting was in line with President Muhammadu Buhari’s agenda to maximise the nation’s sources of Revenue Generation and to strategise on possible ways of addressing revenue leakages ignored when Oil revenue was very impressive.
The Finance Minister hopes that with such strategies put in place, the country’s revenue generation capacity would improve soon
