FG to restructure Project Act Nollywood

The Federal Government has announced plans for a workshop for stakeholders in the movie industry aimed at restructuring and reviving Project ACT Nollywood.

The N3 billion grant program was set up by the past government to solve the main challenges obstructing the growth of the Nigerian movie industry.

The Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun, Convener of the workshop, says the ideas discussed during the workshop would be part of the input for restructuring the project to ensure its sustainability.

So far, the Project ACT Nollywood has trained 247 practitioners to improve their technical and professional capacities in the entertainment industry.
