The Actors Guild of Nigeria,AGN, has declared two days to mourn and celebrate the Life and Times of veteran actress Bukky Ajayi who died on Wednesday.
The octogenarian actress who featured in many Nollywood films, reportedly died after a battle with heart-related disease.
President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, AGN, Ibinabo Fiberesima, had on behalf of the Guild opened a condolence register in all its state chapters nationwide.”
The statement reads in part, “On behalf of the National Executive Committee and the entire members of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, the National President, Ibinabo Fiberesima commiserates with the family of the our late veteran Actor and member, Bukky Zainab Ajayi, who passed onto eternal glory on Wednesday July 6, 2016.”
“She will be fondly remembered for her contributions and motherly counsels to the development and welfare of the members of our noble Guild in particular and the society in general.
She lived an exemplary life of a pious and devout Muslim and we pray Almighty Allah will grant her gentle soul eternal rest in peace and give the family and her loved ones the gratitude to bear the irreparable loss.
