Nigerian afro-pop sensation, , aka Tankolowiska, has dropped a new single, Bolaji.
According to Tankolowiska, Bolaji is his own way of preaching humility.
“Bolaji in Yoruba means to ‘wake with wealth’ and trust me, everybody wants to wake up with wealth. The song basically passes a message about treating people with respect without knowing their status,” he said.
Produced by Gospel on De Beatz, the party jam is the third single from his stables since his debut in 2011. Tankolowiska samples rhyming lyrics with sweet melodies that are instantly memorable in this track.
Tankolowiska is a talented artiste from the ancient city of Ibadan, Oyo state. Born at the University College Hospital, Ibadan, in 1985, he spent his primary and secondary school years in Ibadan and attended Lead City University before he finally moved abroad to study Business Administration.
He forayed into the world of music in 2011 with his hit track Ibadie Nsoro. Undaunted by the competitive nature of the music industry, Tankolowiska continued to pursue his passion.
Prior to his latest single, Tankolowiska released Titilailai and collaborated with Olamide in the track, Bass Line.
For Tankolowiska, the sky is just the springboard. He is optimistic that his passion for music will take him beyond the sky.
