TVC E. Ayodele Daniel Dada, who graduated with a 5.0 CGPA from the University of Lagos, Akoka on March the 2nd, 2016, has revealed that some of the rewards promised to him by companies have not been giving to him.
Dada gained his popularity after breaking his department record to become the best graduating student in the University of Lagos, in over fifty years.
A call was made to members of the lower legislative house by Honourable Femi Gbajabiamila, of the Federal House of Representatives, to honour Dada for his accomplishment.
Ayodele in an earlier interview disclosed that Schooling was not very rosy for him while studying Psychology at the University as he was responsible for all his expenses in school.
He said “There were times I would be hungry, even hungry for a whole day,” he said. But he later “stabilized” and income started flowing in through private tutoring.
“On a good day, I could make N5,000 a day through private tutoring.”
Though some rewards have not been given to the graduant, the Unilag prodigy is already a recipient to the following, UNILAG VC’s prize, UNILAG Dean’s prize, UNILAG Parent Forum prize, Tony Elumelu Legacy prize, the UNILAG Alumni Association prize, the late Eni Njoku Academic prize, Prof Tolu Odugbemu prize, Prof. Adetokunbo Sofoluwe prize and also received the latest Samsung phone with his own personalized phone number and airtime for the year 2016 from MTN Nigeria.
