Stephen Keshi: fifth member of the all-conquering 1994 team to die

Stephen Keshi, who died from cardiac arrest this morning, June 8, was the captain of the squad, which emerged as champion at Africa Cup of Nations tournament held in Tunisia.
Former Super Eagles coach, Stephen Keshi is the fifth member of the all-conquering 1994 team to die, following Uche Okafor, Thompson Oliha, Rashidi Yekini and goalkeeper Wilfred Agbonavbare.

Other members of the 1994 Super Eagles team, which many regard as best Nigeria’s football squad ever are; Augustine Eguavoen, Benedict Iroha, Uche Okechukwu, Isaac Semitoje, Nduka Ugbade, Mutiu Adepoju, , Fuludu Edema, Efan Ekoku, Finidi George, Austin ‘Jay Jay’ Okocha, Thompson Oliha, Sunday Oliseh, Daniel Amokachi, Emmanuel Amuneke, and Samson Siasia.
