Ramsey: Wales set to make history

TVC E. Aaron James Ramsey, the Welsh professional footballer, midfielder for Premier League club Arsenal and the Wales national team is confident Wales can continue to make history beyond Euro 2016.
Ramsey moved to Arsenal in 2008 in a £5 million deal, where he quickly gained first team experience, he made his full international debut for Wales in 2008, and was part of their successful UEFA Euro 2016 qualification campaign.

Ramsey hopes the Euro finals will be just the start of a long period of success.
Wales qualified for the European Championship for the first time, finishing second behind Belgium in Group B, to secure their place in France.

Wales is filled with a talented squad, including the likes of Madrid star Gareth Bale and Swansea City captain Ashley Williams.

In an interview the arsenal ace disclosed that: “We have been waiting a long time for this, and for me it was a goal of mine to try to help Wales qualify for a major championships and having done that, I am so proud that I have done it.”

“With this team we have, we are creating history, and hopefully, we can do it for many more years.”

the ex-Cardiff City star,is also confident about Wales’ chances at the finals, citing their success in the qualifying campaign.

“We have done well in the group stages. We have beaten and drawn against Belgium, who I think are in the top three teams in the world, so we can compete against those sort of teams.

“Hopefully, we can do that on the big stages and in the finals.”

Wales, had a superb run finishing two points behind Belgium, losing a game out of 10, in a 0-2 on the final match-day to Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Chris Coleman’s side have been drawn in the same group as Russia and Slovakia in the finals, as well as England, setting up an exciting clash between the two in Lens and Ramsey is eagerly anticipating the clash.

ramwal“It is the one that I am really looking forward to,” he said.

“I have a few [Arsenal] team-mates that will be in the England squad so the banter has been flying a bit, but yeah I am really looking forward to that and I can’t wait to play in front of our fans and in that atmosphere.

“They [England] are in the finals so they must be doing something right and they must be a good team, so we’ll do our homework so hopefully we can come up better on the day.”
