Former Secretary to the Edo State Government, Osagie Ize-Iyamu, has won the governorship primary of the Peoples Democratic Party in Edo State.
He polled 584 votes to defeat his opponents, Matthew Iduori-yekemwen and Solomon Edebiri.
Matthew got 91 votes while Chief Edebiri polled 38.
A total of 740 delegates took part in the primary, at the Samuel Ogbemudia stadium.
