The Speaker of Nigeria’s House of Representatives has urged members of staff of the National Assembly to invest more in personal prayers, rather than depending on corporate prayers, particularly when interceding on behalf of the nation.
Yakubu Dogara gave the charge at the weekly morning prayers with staff of the lower chamber.
In his brief exhortation, Dogara emphasised the need for prayers, which he said can be very effective.
Dogara was joined by other Christian legislators, most of whom also prayed for Nigeria and the National Assembly staff.
