A team of German officials led by the State Secretary of Foreign Affairs, Markus Ederer is in Nigeria to foster bilateral relations.
Germany is spearheading moves to reform the United Nations and launch an African country into the UN Permanent Seat.
African leaders have over the years, made a case for a permanent representation at the UN, following their contributions to global peace.
But this hope seems slim, given that the current permanent members, namely France,United States, the United Kingdom.,Russia and China are reluctant to give up their influence.
With this latest alliance. they are hopeful their goal could be achieved.
