Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje and prominent community and religious leaders have condemned the beheading of a market woman by suspected hoodlums in the state.
Governor Ganduje who was talking at a a media briefing says justice will be done in accordance with the constitution.
Ganduje added that measures would be put in place to arrest future occurences, urging Kano residents to be calm and law abiding.
On their part, representatives of the Christian Association of Nigeria and the Igbo Community in Kano State expressed satisfaction with the steps taken by the government in dousing the tension with the arrest of a prime suspect by the Police.
Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha has also called on relevant security agencies in Kano State to leave no stone unturned in unravelling the killers of Mrs. Bridget Agbahime.
Okorocha charged the security operatives to carry out thorough investigation in the killing, and prosecute the culprits.
Late Mrs. Bridget Agbahime was an indigene of Mbaitoli Local Government Area of Imo state.
