This is not the best of times for Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti state who is currently fighting another
political battle following allegations of fraud.
The outspoken governor who recently had his bank account frozen by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over ties to the arms deal scandal has been in the news for all the wrong reasons.
While the governor has enjoyed massive support from his state, it appears his home support is fast diminishing following a protest by some people in Ekiti state calling for the anti-corruption battle against him to continue as they are yet proceeds of his governance since he became governor of the state.
The protests which took place on Friday, June 24 has generated reactions from some Nigerians who suggest that the end of the road is near for Governor Fayose, adding that the governor may soon be impeached again just as he was removed from office in 2006.
But others have argued that the Ekiti people lack the moral right to protest against Fayose haven voted for him for bag of rice and other edibles under the famous stomach infrastructure policy
