A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic party, Bode George has described Ali Modu Sheriff as an impostor who does not represent the true ideals of the party.
The politician says the party cannot continue to be distracted by Sheriff’s actions.
Meanwhile, PDP caretaker committee chairman, Ahmed Makarfi is appealing to Ali Modu Sheriff to sheath his sword and tow the path of peace, in a bid to find a lasting solution to the leadership crisis rocking the party.
Makarfi made the appeal during a courtesy call on him by some party officials in Abuja
He is worried the crisis might affect the party’s performance in the Edo? State governorship election and urged Sheriff to embrace dialogue.
