The father of the man gunned down by suspected herdsmen in Ekiti State has appealed for help tocater for the wife and four children of the deceased.
The people of the community where the attackers struck, are also calling on government to urgently address the absence of a police post in any of their five villages bordering Kogi State.
TVC News Correspondent, Akin Ogunmola reports Oke Ako Ekiti, some two hours drive from Ado Ekiti, was best described as a ghost town residents are loading their belongings into vehicle and fleeing the village to seek refuge elsewhere.
Ekiti State Commissioner of Police who was in the community to assess the situation said adequate security has been deployed in the area.
Unfortunately, there is no police post in the village where the attack took place nor in any of her four neighbouring villages.
Although, security has been beefed up in the area, it has not deterred the mass movement of people out of the community.
