Adam Richard Wiles known professionally as Calvin Harris, a Scottish DJ, and record producer almost lost his life in an accident last Friday night.
The incident happened at around 11pm, a VW Beetle. recklessly driven by a 16-year-old smashed into an SUV Calvin was riding in, as a passenger in Coldwater Canyon, Los Angeles. she jerked the wheel crashing into Calvin’s SUV.
Calvin suffered a facial laceration and another female occupant of the Beetle who suffered a broken pelvis was reportedly thrown of the car during the collision. Both were rushed to the hospital where Calvin has been cleared to leave after the treatment and the other victim still receiving treatment.
After being seen by doctors, his first phone call was to his multiple Grammy Award winning girlfriend Taylor Swift, then asked if he wanted her to jet in to see him, but Harris refused, stressing that his injuries were only minor and that he did not want to cause undue concern.
Safe and sound, the 32-year-old DJ was being driven by a male companion in L.A on Saturday after being injured the previous night when a 16-year-old female driver rammed into his vehicle.
Due to the car accident Calvin, miss a performance at Omnia night club, where he holds a residency, and he is also missing out on a headlining set at Hangout Fest.
