The meeting by Labour leaders scheduled for Friday to decide on a possible protest against the increase in the price of petrol has been shifted to Saturday.
But in its first reaction on Thursday, a few hours after the announcement, labour described the hike as insensitive, saying it would call out its members as well as labour affiliates for a protest.
The Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) is meeting in Abuja while the oil workers are meeting in Port Harcourt.
The government raised the price from N 86.50 to a maximum of N145 per litre on Wednesday.
