A distraught father identified as Musiliu Ayetoro has called on security operatives to help him look for his three missing children.
The father of three who has been inconsolable since the children, Barakat, 16, and her 11-year-old twin brothers, went missing six weeks ago from their Isawo, Ikorodu, Lagos home.
The distraught Adetoro, who said he has been single handedly catering for the kids since he separated with his wife 10 years ago, said that on March 19, he had sent Barakat on an errand and the twin boys accompanied her, and that was the last they were seen.
Adetoro has therefore, sent a passionate appeal to the Commissioner of Police in the State, Fatai Owoseni, as well the Inspector General of Police, Solomon Arase, to help him recover his missing kids.
“On the same day they went missing, I reported the matter at Owutu Police Station in Ikorodu, and the police promised to take necessary steps to get the children back home.
Meanwhile, I called their mother to inform her about the situation, thinking probably the children had gone to see her, but she claimed ignorance of their whereabouts.
I have since then not been myself at all while I struggle to keep hope alive of their safe return.”
Adetoro added that he has travelled to his hometown in Iseyin, Oyo State, to inform the family and also be on the lookout for them since the children had earlier stayed in Iseyin before they were brought to Lagos in order to have access to quality education.
