The Lagos state fire service is campaigning against the frequent attack of fire fighters in the line of duty.
The director of the fire service in the state, Razaq Fadipe want the public to see his men as heroes rather than enemies.
On international fire Fighters day, the agency embarked on a walk to sensitize lagos residents about how to help the service perform efficiently.
They gave out handbills to people on the streets with messages that would help change the image of the fire fighters in the eyes of the public.
The also embarked on a school outreach program to tell students about the lagos emergency number that they should call whenever they are in distress.
