Ondo state governor, Olusegun Mimiko has endorsed Omoni Oboli’s “Wives on Strike”.Mimiko who was one of the guests at the Film house cinemas to watch Wives On Strike recently, said the movie is a must watch for everyone.
“It is a movie with clear message,” Governor Mimiko said, commended the movie which tackles child marriage in an interview after seeing the movie. He also encouraged the director to take the movie round the country. It is going to impact the Nigerian society. As a medical practitioner, there is a problem of vesico vaginal fistula. It is a social problem. When I saw Amina in that movie, I could see that she was devastated; physically and mentally.
“I think it is a very good movie like I have encouraged the director; this movie should go round the country, especially the northern part; where girl-child marriage is a sub-culture as it were. I have no doubt in my mind that this movie will be a very impactful movie. I enjoyed myself.”
Responding to the acclaim on her Instagram account, the excited producer posted: “What an endorsement for #WivesOnStrike by Governor Mimiko. He sat through the whole movie and loved it.
