The European Union is canvassing for a legislation that will promote gender equality in Nigeria
Head of EU delegation to Nigeria and ECOWAS, Michel Arrion in a chat with newsmen says that women and girls rights are often not respected in the country.
He says’s that this year’s Europe Day billed to hold on the 9th of May focuses on the rights of women.
Meanwhile a recent bill on gender equality in Nigeria didn’t pass second reading at the floor of the senate.
