President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Ahmed Ja’afaru as the Controller-General of the Nigeria Prisons Service.
Until his appointment, Ahmed Ja’afaru was an Assistant Controller General of the Nigeria Prisons Service Headquarters.
He replaces Dr Peter Ezenwa Ekpendu, who retired from the Nigeria Prisons Service after the mandatory thirty-five years in service.
The appointment of Ahmed Ja’afaru took effect from 17th May, 2016.
