Rapper Wale explores Nigerian roots with new music video

Following the success of his documentary “I Am From (Mo Wa Lati),” Nigerian American hip hop musician Wale is back to exploring his Nigerian roots.

In his latest project “The God Smile,” the award winning rapper documents his experiences in Nigeria.

It is also an ode to Fela Kuti.

Wale who is a part of Michelle Obama’s Reach Higher Initiative is celebrating the anniversary of “The Album about Nothing.”

The album debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 chart.
