Police declare state of emergency in Kaduna

Kaduna State Police Command has declared a State of Emergency, to stop the rising cases of kidnapping in the state.

The command’s spokesman, Zubairu Abubakar says the declaration,was on the orders of the Inspector General of Police, Solomon Arase.

He said a new squad had been formed,to track and dislodge the criminal gangs.

In some of the recent  kidnap cases, Colonel Samaila Inusa, was killed by his abductors, hours after he was abducted in March.

Abubakar  said that the police had made several arrests and commenced prosecution of some of the suspected kidnappers.
