Nigeria to compete at World Team Championship in Tunisia

PIC.10. NIGERIA JUNIOR TABLE TENNIS PLAYERS GOING FOR THE INTERNATIONAL TABLE-TENNIS FEDERATION (ITTF) CADET CHAMPIONSHIP/ AFRICAN CHAMPIONSHIP IN TUNISIA DEPARTS ON TUESDAY.

The International Tennis Federation (ITF) has listed Nigeria among the four teams that will compete at the qualifiers for the World Team Championship in Tunisia, following the country’s impressive showing at the last African Junior Championship in South Africa.

In the boys’ U-14 qualifiers, Nigeria will compete against Seychelles, Mauritius and host, Tunisia with the top 2 teams qualifying for the ITF World Team Championship in Spain.

For the girls’ U-14, Tunisia will battle for the two slots with South Africa, Burundi and Egypt. The clay courts of La Marsa in Tunis will host the qualifiers from June 3rd to 9th.

In the Junior Davis’ Cup qualifiers for U-16 boys and girls, Tunisia will battle South Africa, Egypt, Morocco, Ivory Coast, Mauritius and Burundi.
