The Federal Inland Revenue Service says it has added three hundred and sixty three thousand new tax payers over the past few months.
Chairman of the FIRS, Babatunde Fowler disclosed this to newsmen after appearing before the Senate Committee on Finance to defend the 2016 budget of the agency.
Fowler also lamented that less than ten percent of the Value Added Tax had been remitted by companies saying actions are being put in place to boost it.
