The Nigeria under 23 team will will now feature at next month’s invitational tournament in Korea after opting out of the Toulon Football competition in Paris.
The Dream Team VI opted out of the Toulon Festival because the Nigeria Football Federation can not come up with the 89,000 dollars required to feature in the tournament.
Samson Siasia’s side are using the invitational as preparation for the Rio olympics.
The competition will feature another Olympics qualifier Honduras and hosts Korea.
Nigeria are drawn in Group B of the Rio Olympics alongside Sweden, Japan and Colombia.
