Following his critically acclaimed documentary “Veil of Silence,” Habeeb Lawal’s latest project has picked up a major award.
Lawal’s latest short film “Alibi” took the Best Crime/Mystery short award at the Manhattan Film Festival.
The festival is aimed at showcasing the best of independent film-making and introduce programmes to help filmmakers succeed.
“Alibi” tells the story of a man accused of killing his autistic daughter.
It is also a part of the official selection of the Hoboken International Film Festival in New York.
