265 Shi’ite members face murder charges

Four months after their scuffle with military personnel in Zaria, members of the Islamic movement in Nigeria were in court to answer charges against them by the Kaduna state government.

Two hundred and sixty five of them are facing death penalty carrying charges.

Forty seven of them were in court in Kaduna, out of a roughly two hundred who have been in prison custody.

About forty of them according to counsel to the Islamic movement have been granted bail, but those battling bullet wounds on the other hand would be isolated before the trial continues.
