TVC E. Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo state was at Chatham House yesterday March 9th to give a speech but he was greatly embarrassed by pro-Biafrans.The arrest of Radio Biafra director Nnamdi Kanu renewed struggle for the Republic of Biafra in Nigeria and outside the country.
Okorocha’s free education programme from primary to University level and his concerted effort at Human Capital Development Initiatives in the state had occasioned the interest of the London based Chatham House to invite him to talk on the referenced topic.
However, when the governor was delivering his speech, a supporter of the Indigenous People of Biafra with a Biafran flag came to the podium agitating that no one is doing anything about the plight of Biafrans in Nigeria. He was immediately rushed by other participants at the event as they clashed with him while trying to push him out of the hall.
The governor had traveled with very few senior government officials to witness the historic event and they are expected back to Nigeria during the weekend. He had equally asked for the prayers of the citizens of the state to make the outing successful and for God’s journey mercy.
