TVC E, NEWS – Patriotism, Unity of purpose and selflessness, have been identified as key factors for building a dynamic democratic culture, capable of integrating all ethnic and religious groups in a country like Nigeria.
The Governor of Sokoto state, Aminu Tambuwal stated this, while delivering a lecture on the topic “RELIGIOUS TOLERANCE AND THE CHALLENGES OF DEMOCRATIC GOVERNANCE IN NIGERIA” in Osogbo, the state capital.
Tambuwal observed that disputes and conflicts witnessed in Nigeria were caused by poor education.
He disclosed that political differences have ignited many sectarian crises, hence the need to free religion from the grip of those he called “dark of forces”.
