Petition to nullify Dickson’s election splits Action Alliance party

There is a crack in the Action Alliance party over a petition seeking the nullification of the election of Governor Seriake Dickson  on the ground of unlawful exclusion.

A faction emerged after the national legal adviser of the party, Anakyaa Peter disassociated the party from the petition and demanded to withdraw the petition.

He further told the tribunal that the petitioners did not have the mandate of the party to use the name of the party to file the petition.

Another faction of the petitioners , led by Rev Johnson Alozie,  insists that the national legal adviser lacks the locus standi to withdraw a petition he did not file.

Reverend Alozie argues that the national legal adviser of the party takes directive from the national headquarters and there was no resolution from the party mandating him to withdraw the petition.

He urges the tribunal to refuse the application of the national legal adviser and allow their petition to be determined?
