TVC E, POLITICS – Security operatives have arrested some political appointees and elected public office holders in Ekiti State.
The Speaker of the Ekiti House of Assembly, who confirmed the arrests to newsmen in Ado Ekiti, said
a member of the House had been taken to Abuja by DSS operatives, while the whereabouts of three other members were unknown.
The Speaker alleged that the action of the DSS was part of the plot, to coerce the lawmakers to impeach Governor Ayo Fayose.
Observers of political events in Ekiti State believe that the arrests may not be unconnected with the can of worms, opened on the 2014 Governorship Election in the state, by the State Secretary of the PDP – Temitope Aluko
