TVC E, SPORTS – Nigeria’s senior basketball team D’tigers have been drawn in group B of the 2016 Olympic Games basketball competition.
D’tigers will contend against Argentina, Spain and Brazil in the preliminary round of the Olympics.
According to world basketball governing body, FIBA, six teams will be in each group, but only nine have qualified so far. The remaining three countries will go through a qualifying tournament scheduled to hold in June.
In Group A, basketball power house – The United states will contend against Venezuela, China and Australia.
The Nigerian basketball team appeared at the Olympic games for the first time in 2012.
