TVC E, NEWS – Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom has advocated the setting up of ranches across the country, as the permanent solution to the constant invasion of farming communities by militiamen and their cattle.
Ortom made this comment, after meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential villa Abuja.
The Benue Governor thanked President Buhari, for his swift deployment of troops, which brought the herdsmen invasion and subsequent killing of farmers in Agatu community, under control.
But he stressed the need to keep up the security in Agatu and other farming communities in Benue state, with the farming season about to kick-off.
