TVC E, SPORTS – Super Eagles interim coach Samson Siasia says he’s banking on the wealth of experience of Victor Moses and John Mikel Obi against the Pharaohs of Egypt in a key AFCON qualifier in Kaduna.
Mikel and Moses have helped Chelsea and West Ham move up to 10th and fifth positions on the Premier League log since the turn of the year.
Nigeria need at least four points from the two clashes with Egypt to overtake the Pharaohs in Group G of the qualifiers.
The first leg is slated for Kaduna on March 5th with the return leg 4 days later in Alexandria.
Meanwhile, Siasia has dropped three players for the AFCON qualifiers against Egypt after they reported late to the country’s Olympic team training camp.
Segun Oduduwa, Usman Mohammed and Stanley Dimgba were all invited for the AFCON qualifiers.
But Siasia has now ordered the three players not to show up at the Super Eagles camp as punishment for reporting late to the Dream Team camp without permission.
The players will now concentrate on the U-23 friendly against Brazil.
